In spending time with others we subconsciously find ourselves in the for front of our brains reality of what we think. The subconscious is not hidden anymore. There comes a point in every humans life when the truth is revealed. We can’t hide for too long… We must face the users of our products one day, but the users are not necessarily the consumer. Through logic, imagination, intuition, and systematic reasoning, I find a useful tool to help design for consumers. Keeping in mind personas, extreme characters, and storyboards I am able to give a complete presentation translating insights into innovative opportunities.
In the real world consumers are all we (innovators and entrepreneurs) have to connect a product with the consumer. If the consumer has no need for the product, or sees/learns no need for the product, why would they spend their hard earned money on your product? We must put ourselves in their shoes to analyze just how far or how close we are to their interpretation of life and life’s values for the product. It is through them we learn our in-scope and out-scope with the products use ability. We must know what problem we’re trying to serve, and turn the problem in to something that’s manageable.
